When people move or are about move to a new home they usually want to spend money with local businesses, whether it be buying new furniture, organising a mortgage or just finding a window cleaner.
And they will be using syhff.com to find the local goods or services they need. Why?
Because they will be stakeholders in syhff.com and will be heavily incentivised to do just that! By giving them a significant stake in the success of a business that draws its income from advertising and encouraging them to recognise and use this, syhff will become the place to list of advertise your business to reach your intended customer base.
So, advertise a standard business listing or display advert now and benefit from a low price, free initial period of advertising and the ability to maintain your slot higher up the order of listings.
If you choose to advertise on our property buyers' search page, then you have the opportunity to get the only slot available for your chosen city, state or country. Although we can't display these adverts until the first property is listed here, as above, we will not start the charging period until at least 10 properties have been listed, so you can benefit from a free period of advertising by paying up front and secure the sole slot together with preferential rights to renew. This means, if you advertise now, you can maintain sole rights for this slot for as long as you keep renewing it.
syhff offers three types of advert
The first 2 types of advert are standard listings and display adverts. Both of these types appear in our listings tab which lists businesses according to type or category.
Each main category consists of several detail categories. When a user expands one of the detail categories to see the listings, display adverts will show first in the order they are booked and paid for. Then standard listings will show, again in the order they are booked and paid for.
Standard listings are for a period of two years. They will appear as soon as booked and paid for but the two-year period will only start once the number of properties published for sale or rent in the chosen city, state or country for the listing reaches a minimum of 10. Note: If this number subsequently drops below 10, the charging period will not be suspended unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Display adverts can be booked for any number of months from one month to a maximum of six months. (The great news is, we treat all months as equal. That is, you get 31 days advertising for each month booked whether you book in December, February, or any other month. This applies to search page adverts – see below – as well.)
21 days before your listing or display advert expires, you will get the option to renew it and by renewing, you will maintain its order in the listings page. (Note: If you wait until it expires, you will only be able to book a brand new advert or listing which may be lower down the order.)
The third type of advert is a search page advert. When a buyer or someone whishing to rent somewhere to live does a search in a particular city, then they will be able to filter their search results to find their ideal property. There will be only one advertiser per city. (Note, if the buyer chooses the "all Cities" or "all States" option while searching, then all search page ads for the Cities or States with published properties in the relevant country will be shown.) And this advertiser's advert will appear in three locations on the search page. The position of these locations can be seen by doing a search. These will not be changed.
Search page adverts can be booked for an advertising period of one, two or three months. You can book and pay for adverts before any properties are listed in your chosen city, state or country although they will not be capable of being shown until properties do appear. However, your advert will appear as soon as the first property is published and your advertising period will not expire until one, two or three months after at least 10 properties are shown as published. (Note: As with display ads, if the published number reaches 10 and the advertising period commences, the charging period would continue, should the number of published properties drop below 10, unless there are exceptional circumstances.)
You will be given the option to renew a search page advert and maintain the sole slot between 21 and 7 days prior to the expiry date. After the 7 day point, all advertisers will have the option to secure the slot to commence on expiry of the current advert.
Prices are calculated at the time you book your advert and are based upon the type of advert (standard listing, display advert or search page advert), your chosen category1, the number of registered users and published properties in your chosen city2 and the Country or State (US) in which you are advertising.
As syhff.com users will be stakeholders and benefit from advertising income, it is not appropriate for us to provide a pay-per-click advertising option.
Note: Some listings such as medical practices or schools are free.

2 Prices for a State or Country are based upon a multiple of the price for the city with the highest number of published properties.
We currently accept payment by credit or debit card. This is via Stripe who are a major online payment provider and are PCI compliant at the highest level. (The payment form links your card details from your web browser directly to Stripe, so syhff.com does not see or have access to any of your card data.)
If you cannot make payment by card but still wish to advertise, please use the contact form (Report Issue form) in your advertiser account to tell us what method you would prefer, and we'll look at making other methods available should there be sufficient demand. Important: Never enter any specific card details on any contact form.
Standard listings consist of typed data such as business name, address, telephone etc. You do not have to complete all the fields but the more information you provide, the more helpful it will be to potential customers. Also, if you do not have a business website to link to but do have a Facebook or other social media page, then you can put "Facebook" or something similar in the " Display name for your website" field and provide a link to that page.
Display and search page adverts should be image files no greater than 150Kb in size. The height of the image should not be more than 50% of its width. Although not essential, it is recommended you provide a URL link to your website or any other specific landing page to which you want to direct customers from syhff. The maximum number of characters for your URL link including any query parameters is 255.
Should your company details change or you want a different display image, then these can be changed by you at any time and take effect immediately.
Note: Category classification cannot be changed at this time except in the circumstance in the "Changes by syhff.com" section below.
We reserve the right to make changes to the way advertising on syhff.com works so long as it does not have a material impact on any advertising already paid for.
We currently have no plans to make any changes but will be open to requests for a limited number of additional detail listing categories if advertising customers feel their business is not properly categorised. In this situation we would offer all similar advertisers the chance to move their existing advert to the new category and the listing order would remain based upon their original booking date.
If at any time we decided to offer any additional advertising slots on the site, we would only do this after proper consultation with existing advertisers and giving them preferential options and ensuring absolutely that their current advertising was not affected detrimentally by such a change.
Once you register for an advertiser's account, we hope you find advertising and managing your adverts with us easy to do. However, If you have any technical problems or issues then we have a dedicated contact form specifically for advertisers and will aim to respond within 4 working days or less.
We will only make public your details that you include with your listing or advert and expressly wish to be seen by the public.
If you book a standard listing, for ease of use, the draft form will auto-complete with information such as business name, email and address. You can, if you wish, remove or change this information for the purpose of your listing. You only need to advertise the information you wish to show.
We will not sell or use your details in any way that you have not expressly authorised us to do.
